9 nights from £3,899 per person Including Flights

Overview

This holiday is a lovely combination of two days on the Rocky Mountaineer train, locally guided tours through the national parks plus free time to explore on your own, all at a relaxed place. You will begin in the Cowboy City of Calgary before taking a transfer to the beautiful mountain town of Banff. Here you will be able to choose from a range of optional excursions to tour the national park or simply spend time exploring on your own. Then you will travel to one of the most photographed lakes in the world – Lake Louise. Spend the night here in the iconic Fairmont Lake Louise before travelling the Icefields Parkway and visiting the Athabasca Glacier, including a trip on an Ice Explorer vehicle. After a couple of nights in the charming town of Jasper, you will board the Rocky Mountaineer train for a two day journey of a lifetime through the Rockies. You’ll end in Vancouver, where you can either spend one night and then fly home or extend your stay in this lovely city. Alternatively you could hop over to Victoria on Vancouver Island to enjoy the delightful capital of British Columbia or even book a cruise to Alaska.

We love this tour because you don’t have to drive yourself around with all transportation included (except airport transfers), and you will pick and choose your hotels and excursions so that everything is pre-booked. You will be given full details of all meeting points and times, but please note there is not a tour manager throughout.  (JV)
