Things to do in Atlantic Canada

Each coastal province presents its own unique charm. Those looking for a beach holiday will love New Brunswick – there are over 50 beaches here, after all. Meanwhile, Prince Edward Island is picturesque and diverse, with dramatic red sand beaches, and green landscapes full of golf courses. Nova Scotia is the epitome of a seaside destination, with colourful coastlines, whale watching and delicious seafood.

Newfoundland and Labrador’s rugged cliffs are simply breath taking, and full of incredible natural attractions including dense boreal forests, wonderful whale watching, fascinating seabird colonies, and three National Parks. Whale watching is phenomenal here – there are 22 species to spot, including the world’s largest migrating population of humpbacks.

When to go to Atlantic Canada

As Atlantic Canada’s provinces are dotted along the coastline, summertime is undoubtedly the best time to visit. July is pretty humid, especially when in big crowds, whilst the temperature seems to become more bearable near the end of August.
