Overview

The Chilko Experience Wilderness Resort resides in the heart of British Columbia set on the north waterfront of the stunning Chilko Lake. This family owned estate was formally a summer getaway for the Huston Family but they’ve opened their doors for adventure filled experiences for all the family. Throughout the estate there are 6 impressive timber framed houses that include a kitchen, sitting areas and each property has its own unique feature.

Encounter its tranquil waters and imposing mountain landscapes as you embark on its many activities. Try out activities such as canoeing, archey and lake cruises all with expert guides and tuck into breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks inclusive throughout your 3-night stay. If you're staying September to October be sure to look out for those brown grizzlies as this is peak season for bear watching. Whether you’re 8 or 80 be sure you’ll enjoy this experience to the fullest!

Located on the north of Chilko Lake in Cariboo in the heart of British Columbia

Williams Lake – 3hr drive
Prince George – 6hr drive
Kamloops – 6hr 30 mins drive
Whistler – 8hrs 30 mins drive
Vancouver – 9hr drive

Optionally a charter plane can be taken from Vancouver airport to Williams Lake airport with a fly time of 60 mins, please enquire for further details.

The comfortable guest rooms feature:

The Main House – Central hub of activities, focal dining space and kitchen, bar and games area. 3 bedrooms with double beds, one en-suite shower bathroom, downstairs toilet, two sitting areas, shower wet-room, max 6 people.

The Tower House – 2,500sq ft property, 1 loft style bedroom with double bed and en-suite facilities, downstairs toilet, three sitting areas, three balconies, private third floor tower observation deck, max 2 people.

Carl’s House – 2 bedrooms, downstairs bedroom includes a double and single bed, downstairs bathroom includes shower, toilet and sink, upstairs bedroom includes a double bed and en-suite shower facilities, wraparound decking, balcony and living room with floor to ceiling windows, max 5 people

Annie’s House – 1 loft style bedroom with double bed and stargazing window, 1 downstairs shower bathroom, upstairs toilet, log burning stove, decking with outside seating area, max 2 people

Bunk House – Single storey cabin with elevated sleeping area, 2 separate double beds and 1 bunk bed with double bed on the bottom bunk, one shower bathroom, wraparound decking, outside hot tub, easy access to the pond’s marina, max 7 people.

Bryan’s House – 2 bedrooms, downstairs bedroom includes a double bed, upstairs bedroom includes 1 bunk bed, downstairs shower bathroom, wraparound deck and balcony with sitting area.

  • Accommodation for 3 nights in a luxury log cabin. Guests will be placed according to number and availability
