Day 1

Arrival in Toronto

After arriving into Pearson International Airport, make your individual transfer to the hotel. Check in with your Tour Director before enjoying the remainder of the day to explore at leisure.

Day 2

Toronto

Meet with your travel companions in the morning before exploring Toronto on a morning city tour, where you’ll experience the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. The tour will take you on a journey through the downtown and residential areas, as well as through many of the highlights such as Eaton Centre, old and new City Halls, Casa Loma, Yorkville and the University of Toronto. You’ll pass by the Rogers Centre (which was formerly the SkyDome) and the CN Tower, before driving along the harbourfront for a beautiful view of the city. Enjoy the remainder of the day to explore on your own.

Day 3

Toronto to Montreal

Today sees you depart Toronto early for a pleasant drive east, following the north shore of Lake Ontario. This journey passes endless stretches of rolling farmland and your first destination is the beautiful Thousand Islands resort region where you’ll embark upon a relaxing and picturesque cruise. Afterwards you will re-board the tour coach to continue to Montreal.

Day 4

Montreal

In the morning, you’ll tour the second-largest French-speaking city in the world – Montreal. A bustling and vibrant city, this location combines two of the founding cultures of Canada which creates a unique blend of history and modernity. Your tour will take you to the downtown area of the city where you can view the Olympic Complex, Old Montreal, McGill University, Mount Royal and some of the busy shopping streets. The afternoon is at leisure – in the evening, perhaps embark on an optional dining excursion to experience Montreal by night, with a scenic trip to one of the city’s most popular Greek restaurants.

Day 5

Montreal to Quebec City

Today sees you prepare to depart from Montreal in the morning to follow the route of Canada’s first carriageway – the Chemin du Roy – into French Canada. Pass typical French-Canadian villages and towns and immerse yourself in the classic French culture before arriving in Quebec City. Tour the sights of Quebec City within the walls of the old city for views of the Citadel, Battlefields Park, the Lower Town and the beautiful city gates.

Day 6

Quebec City

Today is yours to spend at leisure, to enable you to gain a better understanding of the culture and sights available in this picturesque World Heritage Site. You can enjoy an optional full day excursion to Tadoussac, which includes a three-hour whale-watching tour on the St. Lawrence River at the mouth of the Saguenay River. You’ll also visit the striking Montmorency Falls which are 30-metres higher than the renowned Niagara Falls.

Day 7

Quebec City to Ottawa

This morning, you’ll travel west past Montreal, following the shore of the St. Lawrence, on your way to Ottawa. Stop for lunch along the way at Sucrerie de la Montagne which is an authentic sugar shack and pioneer-style restaurant. Take a tour of Ottawa upon arrival to view the Parliament Buildings, the Rideau Canal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, and much more. The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure.

Day 8

Ottawa

In the morning, enjoy the Turtle Island aboriginal experience breakfast on Victoria Island. In the afternoon, explore Ottawa independently, from the museums and galleries to shopping at Sparks Street Mall; alternatively, take a boat cruise along the many waterways.

Day 9

Ottawa to Midland

Today’s journey takes you west from Ottawa and features glistening lakes, rushing streams, dense forests and charming northern towns. The highlight of the trip will be a visit to the Algonquin Provincial Park where you can enjoy a scenic walk along the trails. This stunning wildlife and forest preserve is a popular camping spot during the summer months and you’ll be able to experience a little of it for yourself on today’s walk. Eventually, you’ll enter the Muskoka resort region for your overnight stay.

Day 10

Midland to Niagara Falls

Upon arrival into Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, enjoy breakfast and take in the views. This amazing three-acre historic site offers a detailed reconstruction of the first inland European community in Canada. Afterwards, you’ll drive south past Toronto and through the orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula to reach the mighty Niagara Falls. A thrilling boat ride on the Hornblower brings you to the foot of the thunderous falls – a truly unforgettable and magical experience. Take a ride to the top of the Skylon Tower for spectacular views of the falls and the surrounding Niagara district. Afterwards, enjoy an optional Niagara Helicopter Tour for unrivalled views of the Niagara Falls – the evening is free to explore this beautiful area.

Day 11

Niagara Falls to Toronto

This morning you will leave Niagara Falls and drive along the scenic Niagara Parkway and through the historic village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Here you’ll witness a small but thriving community, displaying a beautifully-preserved 19th century ambiance. In the afternoon, head back to Toronto and enjoy a farewell dinner at the CN Tower.

Day 12

End of tour

Make some time for a bit of last minute shopping before saying your goodbyes to Canada and making your individual transfer to Pearson International Airport in time for your return flight.
