Day 1 – Day 2

Toronto

Touch down in Toronto, Canada’s vibrant cultural hub. Pick up your car hire at the airport and head downtown, to the bustling metropolis, a playground for all ages. Ascend the legendary CN Tower for a walk on the glass floor or ignite your competitive spirit at the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Explore the scenic Harbourfront by foot or hop on a sightseeing bus to discover the city’s hidden gems. Depending on the season, feel the electric atmosphere of a Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game (season Oct - April), a Raptors basketball showdown (Oct - April), or a sunny Blue Jays baseball afternoon (April - early Oct) - a quintessential Canadian experience!

Day 3

Niagara Falls

A highlight of your Toronto stay is a day trip to Niagara Falls. We can arrange a scenic excursion to the falls, where you’ll board a boat to the base of the Horseshoe Falls or explore the White Water Walk. Return to the city in time for dinner, we recommend The Old Spaghetti Factory – an iconic family-friendly restaurant.

Day 4 – Day 6

Toronto to Huntsville (145 miles)

Head north into the heart of the Muskoka region. Your destination is the legendary Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, a premier waterfront estate designed for adventure. Spend your days kayaking, paddleboarding, or challenging the family to a round of Disc Golf. Seeking a greater thrill? Opt for treetop trekking, ATV tours, or mountain bike rentals.

A short drive leads you to the crown jewel: Algonquin Provincial Park. Hike through ancient maple forests and spot local wildlife before heading to downtown Huntsville for a BeaverTail (no – not the animal!), a world-famous, hand-stretched Canadian pastry that is a guaranteed hit with the kids!

Day 7 – Day 9

Huntsville to Keene (125 miles)

Journey east through rolling landscapes to the tranquil shores of Rice Lake. Settle into Elmhirst Resort, where spacious waterfront cottages offer a cosy home-away-from-home. Each retreat features a warm fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private deck perfect for morning coffee and lake views.

Day 10

Keene to Toronto (105 miles)

Savour one last sunrise over the lake before driving back towards Toronto Pearson International Airport. No Canadian road trip is complete without a stop at "The Big Apple". Marvel at the world’s largest apple-shaped structure and stock up on artisanal maple syrup and their famous, warm apple pies for the flight home, or pick up a pie before you get to Elmhirst to enjoy at your waterfront cottage!

Return your vehicle at the airport and board your flight, carrying memories of a truly remarkable and rugged Canadian family expedition.
