Weddings at Stone Circle Park

Weddings from £2,480

Overview

Set by the gorgeous Alta Lake, Stone Circle Park is hidden within a setting of luscious emerald trees, featuring Whistler’s stunning scenery as a backdrop to your ceremony. This is the perfect venue for a small, intimate and very private wedding ceremony, injecting the splendour and tranquillity of the great outdoors to your special day.

This beautiful rock structure blends in with its natural surroundings effortlessly, and acts as a modest stage for the bride and groom to pronounce their vows. Set just off the picturesque valley trail, this is a gorgeous secluded area tucked away from the bustling beach setting. A lovely log structure sits just another three minutes along the same path, where a celebration picnic and photography session could be set up.

Your wedding will entail a personal wedding coordinator, a lovely bridal bouquet and grooms buttonhole, the two-hour use of a professional photographer and lots more to ensure your day is hassle-free and relaxed.

More Information

Stone Circle Park is a glorious, bright spot we call the stone circle, which is kind of Stonehenge looking rock structure just off the valley trail near to Lake Side Park on Alta Lake.  The Whistler municipality built it a few years ago without any fanfare, or explanation, and it has become a popular spot for weddings.  Lakeside Park on Alta Lake is a short 5 minute drive from the Village – a 5 minute walk along the valley trail and is a beautiful secluded area away from the busy beach setting.  There is a log structure another 3 minutes along the same path were a picnic could be set up and a great spot for photos.

Additional Information

Legally you could get married the same day as you arrive! However, we recommend you have a couple of days to get used to any time change and orient yourselves. We will send you the necessary forms before you arrive in town and submit them to the Bureau for you. We will set up an appointment to take you to get your license when you arrive.

Winter weddings

We suggest having two pair of shoes: one outdoor pair (these can be white fur boots or any type of shoe which are easy to walk on snow with) and an indoor pair which can be worn for photographs, ceremony, reception etc.  We suggest bringing a fur cape or wrap if you are planning to do an outdoor ceremony or photographs outdoors. Alternatively you can wear a winter coat and remove it for the ceremony or photographs. We also suggest bringing some gloves.  During all seasons mountain weather is known for its unpredictability we always suggest checking the weather forecast prior to arrival to check the current weather trends so your guests can dress accordingly.
