Fly into Vancouver and independently transfer to your hotel. Enjoy Vancouver at a leisurely pace seeing the likes of Stanley Park, Granville Island Market or Gastown. How about seeing Vancouver from a different perspective by going on the Flyover Canada? Any excursions you want to pre-book let our Sales Experts know.

Day 2

Embarkation

Check out of your hotel and transfer independently to the cruise terminal where you will board your ship, the Emerald Princess.

Overnight: Emerald Princess, Full board

Day 3

At Sea

Enjoy your day at sea settling into your chosen cabin and exploring everything the ship has to offer.

Day 4

Juneau

In 1880, Joe Juneau and Richard Harris, guided by Native leaders, discovered gold after a difficult search through rugged terrain. Their find led to major mines that produced over $150 million before closing after World War II. Juneau later became Alaska’s capital and now has about 30,000 residents. Today it’s known for its vast size, glaciers, and spectacular mountain and waterfront scenery.

Day 5

Skagway

Skagway was the main gateway to the Alaska and Yukon gold fields, offering the shortest—but not the easiest—route to the Klondike. Stampeders faced the White Pass and the perilous Chilkoot Trail, where many perished. By 1898, Skagway boomed to 20,000 people but declined when gold waned. Today, with under 1,000 residents, it still preserves its gold-rush character.

Day 6

Dawes Glacier

About 50 miles southeast of Juneau, Endicott Arm is a 30-mile fjord within the Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness, with nearly one-fifth of its area covered in ice. At its head, Dawes Glacier calves dramatic icebergs that drift through the water in summer. Protected in the Tongass National Forest, the fjord hosts bears, seals, goats, and seabirds amid waterfalls, forests, and stunning blue glaciers.

Day 7

Ketchikan

Ketchikan, Alaska’s “First City,” sits on an island and began as a Native fishing camp. Its name comes from a Tlingit phrase meaning “eagle with spread wings.” As gold fever grew in the early 1900s, fishing and timber industries flourished, making it a key Inside Passage port. Today, visitors enjoy Native heritage, historic totem poles, abundant salmon, and the stunning Misty Fjords.

Day 8

At Sea

Enjoy today relaxing in Emerald Princess’ pools or deck hot tubs. Explore the Fine Arts Gallery or watch a show at the Princess Theater.

Day 9

Vancouver

Arrive back at 7:30am and make your way to Vancouver airport independently or how about adding on a few extra nights in Vancouver or maybe even head out to Vancouver Island? Alternatively, we can extend your stay in exploring more of stunning Canada and seeing the beautiful Canadian Rockies whether this is on a self-drive or the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer train.
