Overview

This 10-day escorted tour begins in the Cowboy City of Calgary and ends in the vibrant west coast city of Vancouver, exploring the stunning National Parks and coastal towns. Travel iconic routes such as the Icefields Parkway through glaciers and admiring the soaring peaks of the Rockies including the highest mountain – Mount Robson

Day 1

Arrive in Calgary

Today you’ll arrive in the Cowboy city of Calgary where you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Settle in and then meet with the rest of your group and the Travel Director

Day 2

Calgary - Banff

Begin your day with a short sightseeing tour of Calgary, before taking the road to Banff through the rolling prairies of Alberta. You’ll have a sight-seeing tour of Banff, taking you along Tunnel Mountain Drive where you will see Cascade Mountain, Mount Rundle, Bow Falls and other natural attractions.

Day 3

Banff

Enjoy a free day in this beautiful National Park. You  can choose from a variety of optional excursions such as a superb flight-seeing holiday tour of the Rockies, or you can ride the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain where there is a state-of-the-art visitor centre. Or you can simply stroll through the charming town of Banff and soak up the atmosphere.

Day 4

Banff – Icefields Parkway - Jasper

This morning take the spectacular route along the Icefields Parkway. Pause at Peyto Lake and admire its beautiful azure-blue waters. At the Columbia Icefield, ride on a giant Ice Explorer to the Athabasca Glacier. Continue onto Jasper, where you will be spending the next two nights.

Day 5

Jasper

Today you have the day to enjoy Jasper and the surrounding National Park. In this area of outstanding natural beauty, you can choose to enjoy a gentle float trip on the scenic Athabasca River or take a scenic cruise on Maligne Lake or the more energetic can take a hike to view the glacier on Mount Edith Cavell.

Day 6

Jasper – Kamloops

Journey through the stunning Jasper National Park, enjoying views of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies. Pass through white-fenced ranch lands and mountains before reaching the lovely resort of Kamloops.

Overnight: Hampton Inn Kamloops

Day 7

Kamloops - Victoria

Leave Sun Peaks and pass through the Nicola Valley before reaching the west coast and boarding a ferry to Vancouver Island. Enjoy picturesque views of the islands scattered through the Strait of Georgia before docking at Swartz Bay. Then its just a short drive to the capital city of British Columbia – Victoria. You will enjoy an introductory sightseeing tour of the lovely waterfront district, past the parliament buildings and Government Street, through Beacon Hill Park and along the Dallas Road waterfront.

Day 8

Victoria

This morning you will enjoy an “Iconic Breakfast” at the world famour Butchart Gardens in the Blue Poppy Restaurant, where light pours in from the conservatory-style skylights and large windows face the gardens. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the charms of Victoria, perhaps treat yourself to afternoon tea at the historic Fairmont Empress Hotel or take a boat trip.

Day 9

Victoria - Vancouver

This morning travel back to the mainland by ferry, arriving in Vancouver, a truly lovely coastal city. Explore Gastown, the city’s oldest neighbourhood now designated a National Historic Site. Finally, stop at Stanley Park, with its famous collection of Totem Poles.

Overnight: Ramada Vancouver Downtown (breakfast included)

Day 10

Vancouver – fly home

The tour comes to an end and you will fly home. Unless you want to extend your stay in Vancouver for a night or two, to see more of this vibrant city
