Overview

A direct flight to Québec City takes just over 7 hours so it’s close enough for a lovely long weekend. It is the capital of the province of Québec and the centre of Francophone culture in North America. There are nearly three miles of city walls, dating back to the 17 century, now designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the old town is a delightful place to explore. As well as history, the cuisine of the city is a big attraction from cosy cafes to Michelin Star restaurants.

Day 1

Fly to Québec City

On arrival into Québec City, transfer independently to your chosen hotel for a three night stay. We can either pre-book a transfer for you or you can simply take a taxi from the airport to downtown. Enjoy a relaxing evening in one of the many excellent restaurants this city has to offer.

Three nights at the Hotel le Concorde (or upgrade to either the Hotel Chateau Laurier or Fairmont le Chateau Frontenac

Day 2

A day of contrasts when you will discover the vibrant history of Québec City as well as the stunning natural landscapes surrounding the city. You will begin with an in-depth tour of Old Québec including the pivotal battlefield of the Plains of Abraham, then continue to see the magnificent colonial buildings of the Walled City, the grandeur of the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac and the cobbled square of Place Royale. Then you will take an excursion along the picturesque coast of Beaupré, visiting the spectacular Montmorency Falls and the pastoral loveliness of Ile d’Orléans.

Day 3

Enjoy a day at leisure to experience more of this beautiful city. If you would like, we could book a walking tour of the old town. Québec City is renowned for its excellent cuisine, and we could also arrange a culinary tour with tasting for you.

Day 4

Fly home

You could either extend your stay taking the train to another great city such as Montreal or hire a car to discover the beautiful national parks of this province. Or make your way to the airport for your flight home.
