A stunning Relais & Chateux property, the Sonora Resort is the ultimate in wilderness luxury. Located within British Columbia's cluster of Discovery Island, this wilderness lodge offers unparalleled accommodation, service and facilities in one of Canada's most alluring environments. During your stay, all meals and  beverages are included, and you will have the run of the outdoor heated pool, hot tubs, steam rooms and tennis courts. A wonderful experience for couples or families, you have complimentary use of mountain bikes, a range of hiking trails and plenty of fly fishing options.  You also have the choice of several amazing excursions to tailor-make your experiences to your tastes - whether it's bear watching or salmon fishing.

There are just 88 rooms and suites spread through 12 different lodges. Each of the rooms are sumptuously furnished, with state of the art electronics and spectacular views.

Your stay at Sonora Resort will include the following:

You also have the option to pre-book a number of extra excursions:

  • Salmon Fishing from a 7.5 metre boat – A perfect introduction to pacific salmon fishing, includes all equipment and bait.  Tour lasts for 4 hours at an approximate cost of £175 per person
  • Bear Watching by Zodiac – Guests embark on a tour to view elusive grizzly in their natural habitiat, catching salmon and playing with their cubs by the river mouths and shoreline.  Guests can also view bears from one of the three uniquely designed 3-metre high viewing stands. Tour lasts for 5 hours at an approximate cost of £279 per person
  • Zodiac Nature Tour – An introductory tour to the surrounding waters in a 12 seat, 9-metre eco tour Zodiac boat providing unique views of local wildlife.  Tour is 1 hour long at an approximate cost of £50 per person
