Banff to Lake Louise
Banff to Lake Louise is only a 1 hour drive. Don’t rush there is plenty to see on the way, try Johnston Canyon for a hike to see the waterfalls. Further on the route to Lake Louise you can turn off the main road situated 14 kilometres outside Lake Louise and take in Moraine Lake...simply stunning! Tonight you stay in Lake Louise, a visit to the Fairmont Lake Louise is a must, why not upgrade your hotel and stay in this amazing property overlooking the Lake.

Lake Louise to Jasper
Enjoy the drive through Banff and Jasper national parks via the Icefields Parkway. Among the highlights are Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Falls. The Columbia Icefield is one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America. Without stops the drive is approximately 3 hours....with photo opportunities and wildlife viewing this enjoyable journey will take most of the day.

Jasper National Park
Jasper National Park is a World Heritage Site and Canada’s largest National Park. Today enjoy the many natural attractions, rugged peaks, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of some of the many creatures that call this mountain park home. The day is free for you to explore more of Jasper, the hotel is ideally situated close to the Rail station and the car rental depot, we recommend dropping your car this afternoon before 5pm (office closes at 5pm) there is a one-way drop off fee of approximately $175.

All Aboard! Jasper to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo
Mountains. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass, and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops.

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.
