See the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, the sights of Washington DC, a working Amish farmstead and ride the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls, crossing the border into Canada. Discover Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and historic Quebec City before heading back into the States to travel through the heart of New England to Boston.
Tour Itinerary
- Day 1 - New York City
- Arrive in the Big Apple and transfer to your downtown hotel before meeting your Tour Director in the afternoon. There will be a chance to get to know your fellow travellers at an evening Welcome Reception.
- Hotel: New York Marriott Downtown
- Day 2 - New York - Philadelphia - Washington DC
- Visit sights like Times Square, Battery Park and the Empire State Building on a morning orientation tour of New York before heading south from the city to Philadelphia. In the City of Brotherly Love you can see the Liberty Bell, the National Constitution Center along with Independence Hall, where Jefferson signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Continue to Washington DC for a two-night stay in the American capital and spend your first evening dining at a local restaurant.

- Day 3 - Washington DC
- A local guide will take you on a city tour, where you will see many of Washington's top sights, including the White House, Capitol Hill, the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials and the World War Two and Vietnam memorials. You'll also drive across the Potomac River to see the Kennedy Eternal Flame and the Tomb of the Unknowns on a narrated Tourmobile tour. Spend the afternoon visiting some of the city's remarkable museums and monuments independently.

- Day 4 - Washington DC - Lancaster County/Amish Country
- Leave Washington and head into Lancaster Country, discovering the traditional Amish and Mennonite heartland. Take a look at an Amish farm to see how their way of life has hardly changed in the last 200 years and settle down for an Amish dinner in the evening.
- Hotel: The Inn at Leola Village
- Day 5 - Lancaster County - Niagara Falls
- Continue north to the Canadian border to see the awesome Niagara Falls, checking into your hotel overlooking the American and Canadian falls.
- Hotel: Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview
- Day 6 - Niagara Falls - Toronto
- Get up close to the American, Bridal and Horseshoe Falls on the world-famous Maid of the Mist for an unforgettable experience. Next you'll travel to the pretty township of Niagara-on-the-Lake and then make your way to Toronto, Canada's largest city, for two nights.
- Hotel: The Westin Harbour Castle
- Day 7 - Toronto
- In the morning you'll get a taste of this great city on a sightseeing tour, taking in sights like the Parliament buildings, Queens Park and the Harbourfront. This afternoon there's a chance to explore independently, maybe taking the trip to the top of the CN Tower, taking a cruise on Lake Ontario, visiting the Royal Ontario Museum or taking in the streetlife of bohemian Kensington.

- Day 8 - Toronto - Ottawa
- Next up is Canada's capital Ottawa, a charming and compact city with much to see. Your orientation tour will take you past the impressive neo Gothic Parliament, the Governor General's residence and the Rideau Canal. The city has several great museums, including the award-winning Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian War Museum.

- Day 9 - Ottawa - Montreal
- Cross over in Quebec to visit Montreal, one of the largest French-speaking cities outside of France itself. Head for the atmospheric streets of Old Montreal for a delicious meal at a local restaurant this evening.
- Hotel: Marriott Chateau Champlain
- Day 10 - Montreal - Quebec City
- This morning's sightseeing tour will visit Montreal's Old Port, Notre Dame Cathedral, Place Jacques Cartier and Montreal University and take in the views from Mount Royal. You'll then leave the city to travel along the St Lawrence River to make your way to Quebec City, the historic provincial capital, for a two-night stay.

- Day 11 - Quebec City
- The historic centre of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a local guide will take you around some of its highlights, including the Old Town, Plains of Abraham, Place d'Armes, Chateau Frontenac, the Citadel and Dufferin Terrace. Take time in the afternoon and evening to explore independently and dine at one of Quebec's fine French restaurants.

- Day 12 - Quebec City - Franconia Notch - Boston
- Cross the border back into the States to travel through New Hampshire's White Mountains and Franconia Notch in the heart of New England. Take in the beautiful scenery as you approach Boston, where you will spend two nights.
- Hotel: Omni Parker House
- Day 13 - Boston
- Follow Boston's Freedom Trail on a morning sightseeing tour, and find out about the city's pivotal role in the American Revolution. There will be time in the afternoon to see more of Boston independently. Alternatively, join the optional trip to the pretty coastal community of Salem, famous for its late 17th century witchcraft trials. Celebrate a great tour this evening with your fellow travellers at a Farewell Dinner.

- Day 14 - Boston - Newport - Depart New York City
- From Boston, the last leg of the tour first stops at the old coastal port of Newport, Rhode Island. See the historic harbour and Ocean Drive, with its opulent mansions, before continuing to New York. Transfer to the airport or, for those opting to extend their stay in the US, head to your downtown hotel.
