Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 - ARRIVE TORONTO.
Take your complimentary transfer from Toronto International Airport to the tour hotel where your Tour Director is ready to greet you and answer any questions. Join us at 6 p.m. for a Welcome Reception at the fabulous Toronto Hilton hotel.
DAY 2 - TORONTO & NIAGARA FALLS EXCURSION.
We ride to the top of the world's tallest tower, the CN Tower, for spectacular views and travel up University Avenue to take in the sights of Ontario's Parliament buildings, Queen's Park and museum row. Then we move on to Niagara Falls up-close and very personal on the Maid of the Mist cruise ship. You can browse the shops and galleries of Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to Toronto for dinner at the Hilton hotel. (B,D)
DAY 3 - TORONTO - OTTAWA.
We follow the shores of Lake Ontario to the colonial city of Kingston, Canada's first capital and one of the nation's most historic cities where you will receive an orientation tour. We then move on to the nation's current capital, Ottawa, and visit the Canadian Museum of Civilisation - the county's largest and most popular cultural institution. In the evening, we travel by giant canoe to a traditional native Canadian camp on Turtle Island to sample a feast and be entertained by vibrant traditional dances. You then retire to the comfort of the Lord Elgin Hotel. (B,HD)
DAY 4 - OTTAWA - MONTREAL.
In the morning we enjoy an orientation tour of Ottawa - its stately boulevards, imposing buildings and tulip-filled gardens. We visit the green-peaked roofs of the Parliament, the Royal Canadian Mint, City Hall and the National Art Gallery. Later in day, we enter the French-speaking province of Quebec, continuing on to Montreal where you'll receive another locally guided tour covering the grand mansions of Mount Royal to the modern downtown area. We then adjourn to the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel for the overnight stay. (B)
DAY 5 - MONTREAL - QUEBEC CITY.
We start the day "dining with dinosaurs" with a special breakfast at Montreal's Museum of Archaeology and History before continuing to Quebec City, overnighting at the Hilton Quebec hotel (B)
DAY 6 - QUEBEC CITY SIGHTSEEING.
An experienced local guide will lead us through Quebec's unique European charm: the Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham, National Assembly, Basilica, City Hall, Place Royale and Citadel. We then visit the shrine of Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré and the Montmorency Falls before returning to our hotel. In the evening, you have the option of joining your Tour Director for dinner at the famous revolving rooftop restaurant, L'Astral (B)
DAY 7 - QUEBEC CITY - BAR HARBOR.
We say 'au revoir' to Quebec and farewell to Canada and cross the US border. Travelling east toward America's Atlantic Coast, we're headed for the quintessential New England fishing village of Bar Harbor, Maine and the charming Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina. (B)
DAY 8 - BAR HARBOR - ACADIA EXCURSION.
We take in the natural beauty of Acadia National Park, with its dramatic rocky shoreline, beaver lodges and spectacular views from the top of Cadillac Mountain. You can explore Bar Harbor on your own in the afternoon, take an optional nature cruise or go whale watching, before feasting on a traditional Maine lobster dinner. (B,HD)
DAY 9 - BAR HARBOR - BOSTON.
Driving south again along the rocky Maine shoreline south, we stop in picturesque Kennebunkport to soak up typical New England life. Relax as we cruise past Portsmouth en route to Boston, Massachusetts where we'll overnight in the Omni Parker House hotel. (B)
DAY 10 - BOSTON SIGHTSEEING.
Wake up in Boston, one of America's oldest and most historic cities. Join your Tour Director for a trip along the Freedom Trail. We see Beacon Hill, Faneuil Hall, Charlestown, Bunker Hill Pavilion and the meeting house where the Boston Tea Party was planned. The afternoon is free for wandering in the beautiful gardens, visiting a museum or exploring the charming North End of the city. For dinner, choose between a selection of excellent Boston restaurants. (B,DA)
DAY 11 - BOSTON - PHILADELPHIA.
We travel to Philadelphia, City of Brotherly Love, and birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. We explore Independence National Historic Park, visit the Liberty Bell and view Independence Hall before checking into the Sheraton Society Hill hotel. (B)
DAY 12 - PHILADELPHIA - WASHINGTON DC.
We tour the National Constitution Center before continuing to Washington DC. The afternoon is yours. Perhaps a visit to one of the Smithsonian museums, the Kennedy Center, or a stroll through the historic cobblestone streets of Georgetown is on your list. Or if you prefer, make your way to the Renaissance Washington DC hotel. (B)
DAY 13 - WASHINGTON DC.
The nation's capital and political centre. See Capitol Hill and the White House on a guided city tour that also includes the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials and the WWII and Vietnam Veterans Memorials. In Arlington, we board the narrated Tourmobile and visit the National Cemetery. The rest of the day is free. (B)
DAY 14 - WASHINGTON DC - NEW YORK CITY.
Had enough of the seat of power? We head off for the Big Apple where your orientation tour includes Times Square, the Financial and Broadway Districts and Battery Park. The afternoon is free to enjoy the many sights or do some last-minute shopping. In the evening, join your Tour Director for a farewell dinner at a New York restaurant and spend your last day in America in the sumptuous Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. (B,HD)
DAY 15 - DEPART NEW YORK CITY.
Your tour comes to an end with a complimentary transfer to JFK International Airport. (B)
