Blue Water Acres Cottage Resort is an excellent choice for families. There are things to do for those who are very active, and those who want a simple relaxing holiday. The choice is yours. The resort is close to Algonqiun Provincial Park which is the most famous wilderness park in Ontario. This area of ancient rock, sculptured by glaciers consists of quiet forests, rolling hills, and an endless network of rivers and lakes. It’s a great place to see wildlife in their natural habitat.

Rooms & Accommodation

• The chalet suites at Blue Water Acres are modern and private. All have a wood burning fireplace and electric heat with individual room control thermostats.
• Chalet suites have a living room with a large picture window or glass patio door leading to private deck, a fully equipped kitchen, a dinette area, and a private bath.
• All bathrooms are equiped with hair dryers.
• Kitchens come equipped with refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, electric coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cutlery, pots & pans and dish towels.

Activities

• The resort offers free use of non-motorised boats including canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, sailboats and windsurfs. Wildlife viewing and walks available.

What to do

• There is a games room which has a billiard table, table tennis and a variety of video games.
• 3 tennis courts, volleyball courts, badminton court, biking and hiking.

For Children

• During July and August there is a supervised Childrens’ Programme where children can engage in a variety of activities including games, crafts, drama, and study of nature.
• There’s also an indoor play facility for young children which is open all year round called Tots Town.

Pool and Beach

• Indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna.

Dining

• Chalet suites are self catering and include a charcoal BBQ.
• There is a large convenience store on site.
• More than 50 restaurants in the Huntsville/Lake of Bay area which is about 20 minutes drive away.
